Want a great s
ound system hooked up without the unsightly wires running down your walls and across your ceiling? Try our new In-wall speaker wire. This 65 stranded speaker wire is very flexible and unlikely to kink during installation. The twisted-pair conductors make the wire much easier to pull throughout the house than standard spools speaker wire. Twisted pair design also helps cancel common noise and they are color coded for easy identification.

The gauge you use depends on the sound quality of your speakers as well as your budget. The lower the gauge the thicker the speaker wire is and therefore the better the quality and capacity of the wire to pass on the amplified audio signal. Long wire runs cause significant power loss and therefore requires a lower gauge cable. As a general rule of thumb measure the distance from the speaker to the amplifier. For distances less than 80 feet use 16AWG, for 80 to 200 feet 14AWG and for more than 200 feet 12AWG.
